Scandinavia Android HDTV: People of Lava, Based in Sweden, has introduced TV’s first family of Android. The range, called Scandinavia, Comprises screens of 42 -, 47 and 55-inch LED backlight 1080p resolution and the Google’s mobile operating system in a small system within. As in a smartphone with Android, users may access YouTube, Google Maps, climate, weather, calendar and web browsing.
People of Lava promises that a market for applications will be available with specific titles for this TV in the future. The TVs also have integration with Facebook, Twitter and email.
Each system has a USB port to play digital content and local Ethernet connector to provide access to the Internet. There will three HDMI ports, a tuner DVB-T digital TV and will come with a wireless keyboard and remote.
Android 1.5 will come preloaded, While a chip 833MHz ARM Cortex A8 provides fast processing.
The first model to be produced will be 42 inches and the first shipments will be arriving in September. Prices of Scandinavia Android HDTV will range between 2,000 and $ 2,500 for 42-inch version, And distributed globally.
